A new type of architectural complement with variable conformation – portal, gazebo – for the comfort of outdoor living spaces, capable of becoming an ordered element of the space as well as an efficient functional response to the need for shade.

This is the reason given by the jury of the prestigious award for the victory of the innovative product born from Talenti’s collaboration with the famous Italian architect and designer Marco Acerbis.

I smile when I think back to the process that MrX was born with – says Marco Acerbis – It all started with my mistake, in the sense that I was designing a tent that somehow had to have an X in a certain position and then, not happy, basically turning the sketch I was making, I realized that it would work much better in another direction. From there, there was a succession of insights that led to what is the ultimate object that later won the Compasso d’Oro.

“MrX – sums up Marco Acerbis during the awards ceremony of the XVIII Compasso D’Oro – is a completely innovative concept of space and product in which existing technologies have been used to the extreme of their potential to create a new concept of an outdoor tent in which user iteration magically transforms a two-dimensional portal into a three-dimensional space.”
